How Can a Yellow Spot On The Penis Be Treated?

My son was circumcised on 02/14/17. I noticed that he has yellow spot on the head of the penis and also around the lower part of the penis. He s eating and doing everything normally. Should I take him to the emergency or wait it out for his Dr appointment which is this upcoming Tuesday?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First of all it's sad to know what your son had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, He needs to be examined by the primary surgeon who did the procedure to rule out local infection.

He may be needed to be put on antibiotics like co-amoxiclav and anti-inflammatory drugs like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen.

Local hygiene and wound care with Povidone is also helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
